BMW Paddle Shift Retrofit Kit
This Kit will enable you to shift with an OEM steering wheel and paddles. This Kit is German engineered and completely Plug N Play. No programming required!
What vehicles will this Kit work with?
- 5-Series (E6x) LCI
- 6-Series (E6x) LCI

How does it work?
The kit will allow you to enter or exit DS mode by pulling both SMG paddles or pushing one and pulling the other paddle on SSG paddles. Furthermore, by just pulling one paddle, you will immediately shift to the next gear entering manual mode M1, M2, etc instantaneously. Exiting the manual mode is identical to exiting DS mode.

Will this work if my vehicle does not have the sports package (round airbag)?
Yes. If your vehicle does not have the sports package (round airbag), you will need the appropriate steering wheel, trim pieces, paddles and a new airbag. The airbag can be purchased at your local BMW dealer and we will provide you with the necessary part number.

My vehicle has the sports package option. What do I need?
If you have the sports package, all you need to do is get the new steering wheel and paddles. All trim pieces and the airbag can be swapped.

What is the difference between SMG, SSG and SSG LCI paddles?
SMG is classified as pull only paddles, where the left paddle shifts down and the right paddle shifts up by pulling.
SSG (Without Leather Inserts) is classified as push/pull paddles, where both paddles shift down by pushing and shift up by pulling the paddle.
SSG LCI (With Leather Inserts) is classified as push/pull paddles, where both paddles shift down by pushing and shift up by pulling the paddle. * These paddles have to be modified to work with the kit.

It's a simple plug and play solution, that avoids altering the coding of your car, keeping it original.

A bit expensive, comparing with the coding option, but very efective and fast install!

Installed on a 535 twin turbo wagon to allow for a heated M5 steering wheel with SMG paddles to operate. The beauty of the setup is how easy it is to enter into DS or Manual mode and then exit back to Drive mode. I use Manual mode quite a lot. Quickly entering and exiting allows for short blasts of high-rev throttle in the desired gear and for engine compression braking, rather than jumping on the brakes.  And then I can quickly toggle right back to Drive.  Or jump into Manual for better metering of speed during bumper-to-bumper freeway driving. The only negative I have noticed is that the steering column stalks are somewhat visually obscured by the paddles. I know my way around by feel, so I don't need to see them to engage intermittent wipers or select different data display modes on the left end stalk, etc, so seeing the stalks is a non-issue for me.

That's my car in the video! These guys are Awesome! Excellent customer service!  The Paddle shifter works perfectly! I had it installed on my 2008 535xi LCI. Drove out to Vegas to have them install it. I'm sure I'll be back for more mods! Sorry it took me so long to write this! THANKS AGAIN GUYS!
