This should be a standard feature. Just go ahead and take the seat out to save yourself frustration during install. Clear instructions for the install. Took maybe an hour and a half. YMMV. When doing multpile press commands don't count the seconds between, watch for taillight flash and go off that. Works everytime for those commands. ;-)

Works well but awkward install

Awkward to install. Recommend removing the seat as does the instructions. But not terribly difficult otherwise. (More detailed description of removing the Porsche leads from Porsche pin block would be helpful.) I did NOT disconnect the battery which can lead to a host of things one must do to re-calibrate various systems.
Works exactly as advertised. Very pleased.

Product does exactly what it says, provides easier top usage inside the car, and remote open close outside. I prefer the taps on the door handle to the remote, mainly because I use the time function on the remote, and my "second" counts aren't accurate enough sometimes.
The only change I would like is a way to choose what holding for x seconds does in the initial setup, instead of having to follow a single preset routine.
Overall, very pleased with the unit, and the install was pretty straightforward, with good instructions.
Finally, I chose USPS, and I did have to sign for the package, so be aware of that

RTFM and you'll have an easy install

By carefully reading the install guide multiple times, I experienced an easy installation. I was able to code the module using a Win10 VM without any issues.
The SmartTop module works exactly as advertised and is configurable to the exact way I want it to work. Highly recommended to all Boxster owners!

Arrived quickly and relatively easy install in part due to the excellent step-by-step instructions. No more crawling into car parked in tight spot and enduring a sauna as you struggle to open the top. Beautiful integration on the OEM remote. Made my life so much easier, can recommend this enough.
